Movie Quote: George Washington McLintock on Relationships

I happened to view a small segment of McLintock!, a 1963 comedy Western starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. In one scene, George Washington McLintock (played by John Wayne) in conversation with his daughter Becky (played by Stefanie Powers) shares the following thought about relationships:

“…because all the gold in the United States Treasury and all the harp music in Heaven can’t equal what happens between a man and a woman with all that growin’ together. I can’t explain it any better than that.”

Simply wonderful. What do you think? Please share your thoughts in the comments section of this post.
